Miami airport hallway flooded by mysterious green fluid
Travelers at Miami International Airport encountered an unexpected issue when a peculiar lime green fluid began seeping through the ceiling and flooding a hallway.
Airport officials clarified that the non-hazardous leak originated from a pipe in Concourse G around 9 am on Thursday.
Photos shared by MIA staff depicted the corridor covered in the fluorescent liquid, with custodians cordoning off the area and starting the cleanup.
In a statement, an airport spokesperson mentioned, “The valve feeding the pipe has been closed to stop the leaking, and cleanup efforts are now underway.”
Passenger footage showed the lime-colored liquid pouring from the walls, causing an entire waiting area to be off-limits.
Officials explained that the unusual substance was water mixed with green dye from the building’s air conditioning system, which is used to easily identify and trace leaks to their source.
