Israel Air Force strikes Hezbollah in Lebanon, intercepts targets

Israeli air force aircraft struck a number of Hezbollah targets and terrorists in southern Lebanon overnight, the IDF stated on Saturday morning.

Among the targets hit were terrorists operating in the area of Bint Jbeil as well as terror and military infrastructure in the areas of Kfarkela, Bint Jbeil, and Yarine, the IDF noted.

Waves of interceptions and sirens

Later, on Saturday morning, hostile aircraft intrusion sirens sounded in northern Israel.

Following the sirens, a suspicious aerial target from Lebanon was successfully intercepted by the IDF Aerial Defense Array, the IDF added.

Later, the military again noted that a suspicious aerial target was successfully intercepted after sirens blared in Kiryat Shmona.

While the interception was successful, the sirens were activated to mitigate the potential danger of falling shrapnel.

After previous aerial infiltration attempts failed, two more suspicious aerial targets from Lebanon fell in an open area in Beit Hillel. No injuries were reported.
