Enhanced Box Score: Angels 7, Cubs 0 – July 6, 2024

The fun times lasted two days.

This thing went sideways right from the start, as the first four Angels reached, and although Seiya Suzuki thereafter cut down a runner at the plate to limit the first inning damage … it didn’t matter. Kyle Hendricks got dinked and dunked, the defense wasn’t great, Colten Brewer couldn’t hold the Angels down, and the game was out of hand pretty quickly.

Meanwhile, Tyler Anderson owned the Cubs’ bats (do I have to make him the Ankin Law “Making It Personal” Player of the Game?), and there just wasn’t much fun to comment upon on that front.

The thing about the positive feelings turning so quickly because of a mere two good games? It can turn right back just as quickly because of one really, really bad game.

Full box score.
