Tokyo-Osaka bullet train services restart hours after power failure
Bullet train services between Tokyo and Osaka resumed Saturday, hours after they were suspended due to a power failure, Central Japan Railway Co. said.
Following the suspension, train operations were significantly disrupted, with stranded passengers congesting Nagoya, Shizuoka and other stations of the Tokaido Shinkansen Line.
The operator said it is investigating the cause of the power outage.
The power failure occurred between Shizuoka and Kakegawa stations in Shizuoka Prefecture, it said.
